Guy Haslam
Managing editor, Eye to Eye Puzzles
He joined Seven Publishing in 2006 and oversaw the revamping of the puzzles portfolio. In addition to giving the existing titles a new look and some refreshed content, he has launched a number of new titles to kept the range up-to-date and comprehensive.
Haslam has worked in puzzle magazines for more than 20 years, starting as an editorial assistant with BEAP Ltd (now Puzzler Media). He eventually became Editor of a number of Puzzler Media's titles, including market leader The Puzzler. He then moved on to H Bauer Publishing, where he was Group Editor of Take a Break's Puzzle Magazines and oversaw several successful new launches.
He is confident that Eye to Eye Puzzles can continue to grow their share of the puzzle magazine market in addition to developing new puzzles products to expand the print market and exploit other media, including digital and mobile.
Puzzles are something of a busman's holiday for Haslam, as he enjoys solving and creating cryptic crosswords in his spare time. Indeed, back in the 1990s, he became the youngest ever winner of The Times Crossword Championship.
