Managing director, Eye to Eye Media
A man with over 25 years of experience at the top level of the publishing world, Seamus founded Seven Publishing in 2003 with Jo Sandilands and became its managing director after winning the licence to publish delicious. magazine in 2003. Seven Publishing then acquired Sainsbury's Magazine from Delia Smith, as well as a successful range of puzzle magazines.
Before establishing Seven Publishing, Seamus spent 14 years at BBC Worldwide as director of lifestyle, heading up the multi-media division focused on adult lifestyle - in particular food, gardening and homes. His remit encompassed magazines, books, exhibitions and IP (TV and radio rights).
During his time at the BBC, Seamus oversaw magazine titles such as BBC GoodFood, Gardeners' World, Homes & Antiques, as well as the launch of Eve magazine. He headed up exhibitions including the GoodFood Show, Gardeners' World Live, Good Homes Show and The Clothes Show. His remit didn't stop there, as he also oversaw book authors and programme IP including Delia Smith, Rick Stein, Alan Titchmarsh, Diarmuid Gavin, Gary Rhodes, Ground Force, Changing Rooms, Ready Steady Cook, Food & Drink, MasterChef, Gardeners' World, Gardeners' Question Time and Home Front.
Seamus formed Eye to Eye Media in November 2009 following the management buyout of the consumer publishing arm of Seven Publishing Group.
